Local Las Vegas officers were on the scene Sunday afternoon responding to a car accident where a woman was left in critical condition. The crash was in the west Las Vegas valley, near Jones and Lake Mead boulevards.
Police say one of the vehicles involved had a trailer carrying wood. The second vehicle was struck with a piece of wood that went through the windshield. The woman was trapped inside the car for about 30 minutes before she was transported to University Medical Center.
